Additionally, the candidate must possess proven presentation/training skills, particularly to an
executive management AND technical audience. Ability to manage an extensive travel schedule,
manage on-site support staff during training seminars,
support seminar efforts: such as marketing, web site management for the seminar, follow-up calls
and new development research and strategies, are also required.
In addition to the requirements listed above, the candidate must possess at least a Masters or
Ph.D. in a technical discipline.
SECURITY ENGINEER
Will perform on-site installation of firewall hardware and software
for EIH clients. Responsible for pre-installation work
and identification of security and other technical issues
during pre-installation period. Requirements include TCP/IP protocols
and applications, familiarity with configuring and operating Internet
DNS and SMTP mail systems. Moderate UNIX user experience is
required. UNIX systems administration experience is preferred.
Experience with sendmail configuration, especially with PC/Macintosh
LAN mail systems is strongly preferred. Familiarity with OS platforms
is desired.
DATABASE ARCHITECT
Will act as high level technical contributor to help lead the
development and administration of RDMS. Requirements include 5+
years database development and/or administration, demonstrated knowledge
of DB development and full life cycle activities. Sybase and a
good understanding of the Internet -- particularly data management
issues associated with automatic configuration of its service
components. C/C++, PostScript, Sybase version 10, Unify
VISION, Powerbuilder, WWW/html, and Remedy preferred.
SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Will be responsible for configuring, testing and installing,
Internet connections and services for customers. Requires experience
in UNIX, TCP/IP, DNS, and high-speed wide area network
troubleshooting. Familiarity with Internet services (e.g., sendmail,
NNTP, UUCP, WWW ) is a plus. Must have excellent communication and
project management skills.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVES
Will provide technical assistance to EIH client base and customer
support staff as they pertain to products and services such as TCP/
IP, UUCP, mail, Domain Name Service, IP routing, ppp, ISDN, modems,
Web Services and USENET News. Requirements include a B.S. or
equivalent work experience, a minimum of two years experience in a
customer service or computer related field and experience with network
and applications problems. The successful candidate must also be
UNIX literate and have a background in Internet services.
MACINTOSH SUPPORT PROGRAMMER
Will design, implement and update EIH dialup bundle.
Includes autoregistration of clients, and autoconfiguration of
popular client programs on both 68k and PPC based Macs.
Requirements include C programming experience, TCP/IP
networking familiarity, and 2+ years commercial/ professional
programming experience. Serial line programming and debugging,
resource editing, top-down application and implementation experience.
B.S. degree preferred.
NETWORK ENGINEER
Will design, plan, implement, and troubleshoot a worldwide dial-up TCP/
IP network. Duties include network architecture, problem
management, change management, and vendor engineering management. B.S.
in C.S., E.E. or comparable work experience, and strong TCP/IP
routing, network design, and router and/or terminal server
configuration experience required. Asynchronous modem
troubleshooting skills and network protocol analyzer experience is
required. Working knowledge of Cisco, Ascend, Frame Relay, ISDN, PPP,
OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, Perl , Expect, C, Radius authentication, and
the telecommunications industry and organizations preferred.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Will act as a network management applications developer. A B.S. degree
in C.S., E.E., or a related field is required. M.S. preferred.
Experience with SNMP, TCP/IP, Sockets, C, C++, Motif, Sybase, TCL/TK,
and Perl are preferred. UNIX and JAVA/HTML is required as is 5 years
of applications development experience.
